Unlike future care costs, which related to expenses that will be payable to medical treatment providers or other third parties, housekeeping costs relate to the value of house work that would otherwise be completed by the injured plaintiff.

Where an injured plaintiff's has suffered a reduced ability to engage in cooking, cleaning, yard-work, snow removal, childcare, or other household activities, that person is entitled to compensation for the cost of hiring assistance.
