Ask a Lawyer Launches

Ken Proudman - BARR LLP (Edmonton)
   Society Past President

The Ask a Lawyer page is now functional. It had been disabled while development focused on other features.

The Ask a Lawyer feature can be used to ask very generic questions (for example, can a parent seek reimbursement for a cell phone as a section 7 child support expense?). It's essentially a public forum, so that other viewers can search for answers to their own questions. Those who ask questions which require more background or are unique to their circumstances will be directed to contact a lawyer in our Directory.

When a person asks a question, lawyers who have opted for the Ask a Lawyer feature in their account settings and who match the area of law sought, will be notified by email that someone has asked a question, up to once per 24 hour period.
