Wrongful Dismissal

Courtenay Webb (Calgary)

I was fired from a job without notice after a safety incident. I was working on the ceiling (electrician) and there was a flimsy board set up. I had commented that it wasn’t safe but no th ing was said or done. While up on it, I slipped and nearly fell off but was able to catch myself. During the process there was some damage done to the ceiling. I made it clear I would not go up again and was let go.
I had passed the 90 probationary period set by AB law and have never had a verbal or written complaint from my boss. His wife is in charge of safety for the company, so I’m not even sure I can do anything without some sort of bias.
