Thank you for reading this message.
I am an engineer, I have worked for "Inter Pipeline Ltd) as a contractor for 2 years from Feb 2021 to Dec 2022. And because I am offered an excellent services, they offered me a permanent staff position in a different dept. (different supervisor) So, I accepted their offer. I did a great job and saved the company millions of dollars on the projects I worked on. I got recognitions and appreciated from my supervisors supervisor, from other managers and colleagues. I have copies of the recognitions emails.
I got sick and COVID in the middle of Feb 2024 (last month). I supported the company for the first week from home. But I was able to check emails and messages in the second week.
My supervisor terminated my employment for no cause at the end of the second week.
My supervisor did not support me during my employment and always trying to find mistakes. She tried to set me up for failures. She did not appreciate my services. She discriminated, bullied and harassed me up to the last minute. She hired a female engineer from her background to replace me. The new employee started on Monday of this week, which is 2 days after terminating my employment.
Here is the first 2 paragraphs of the termination letter:
"As we discussed in our meeting today, this letter confirms that your employment with IPL is being
terminated for all purposes effective immediately. You are now relieved of your job responsibilities
and may pursue other career opportunities. This decision has been made after careful
consideration and is final.
You will be paid all outstanding wages, any accrued but unused vacation, holiday pay, valid
unpaid expenses and any other money owing to you up to and including today. You will also
receive your Alberta Employment Standards termination pay in the amount of $2,884.62. All these
amounts will be subject to applicable statutory deductions and remittances and will be provided
to you in the next short while."

They will pay me for unused vacation and 2 weeks after termination.

Please I need a consultation before I counter their severance offer.
