Overdue Payment

Kim (Alberta)

Over 10 years ago my now ex & I hired a tutor for my daughter. My mother gave a deposit. Services were completed 10 years ago. Now the lady is contacting me saying I have an outstanding bill of $210, from 10 years ago. She admitted going to my old house to collect payment. We lived there still three years after services, which means she had to have come to collect money over three years after service. She now is texting me asking for payment, or she will post in our public newspaper. This whole time she had my phone number and has not contacted me for payment. I thought we had paid in full, 10 years later she is saying no. She has not shown me a receipt. And if she does, I don’t know if it is correct. Do I have to pay her after her not contacting me for over 10 years?
