Arrears

Amy Gamache (Edmonton)

Hello, I’m just wondering if MEP will continue to enforce arrears after the child is considered an adult and no longer attending school.

Is there anything I need to do to ensure this is still enforced once my daughter is done school next June 2024?

Thank you

Amy

As far as I know MEP will continue to enforce arrears. You can check with your case worker to be absolutely clear but I have seen this. Ideally, you could try to get agreement to take a lump sum from the Payor and give them a break on the remainder. Otherwise, if agreement is not reached in this fashion, MEP will grind onwards....
