Adult Interdependent Relationship

Cero (Edmonton)

A survivor Adult interdependent Partner claiming the ashes of his intestate couple to the decease's son is an Estate issue? Does the couple have to be lived for three years under the same roof to have the right on the remains? An application to the court to request the ashes to his son requires a general affidavit or a Surrogate affidavit form? Note that the son is an adult, not adopted by the couple, nor has he applied to the court to become the Executor of his father's Estate.

This matter sounds too complex to provide guidance on in this forum. Because lawyers need sufficient information to be able to provide an opinion, and to be able to ask you questions (which usually means at least a half-hour consultation), the lawyers here can only provide basic information and answer very general questions. Please contact a lawyer directly through the Search to seek assistance with your matter. Thank you for your understanding.

Hi, Anonymous Lawyer

Thanks for your response.

I looked for additional information to contact you as it seems that you are willing to provide guidance, but the system says that only "Verified Lawyers" have profiles. I am confused as I thought you had a profile. Nevertheless, I still am pretty confident there should be some lawyer able to help me in this forum.

Have a beautiful day!

Cheers!
